Trying out AV1 encoding for my PC gameplay recordings has been a game-changer. The file sizes are significantly smaller than h.264, and the quality holds up incredibly well, even with fast motion in games like Doom Eternal. It takes a bit more GPU muscle to encode, but the resulting clips load faster and look crisp.
