새 신용평가모형은 카카오뱅크가 2019년 7월 금융서비스 실시 뒤 축척해온 대출 이용 손님들의 금융 거래 데이터를 분석해 적용하는 방법이다. 여기에 이동통신 3사가 보유한 통신비 정상 납부 기한이나 데이터 평균 사용량 등 통신과금 서비스 사용 정보 등도 추가해 신용평가에 활용하고 있다.

가족카드 발급 손님을 중·중학생까지 확대하며 소액 결제에 한정해 활용 가능하도록 해 금융거래의 편의성을 제고하고 신용카드 양도·대여 관행을 개선할 것으로 보이고 중·중학생이 건전한 금융거래와 소비지출 습관을 형성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

신세계인터내셔널 관계자는 “핸드폰 소액결제는 신용카드 결제와 유사한 구조이기 때문에 당사자가 계좌로 이체가 된다”고 이야기 했다. LF몰 관계자 역시 “핸드폰 소액 결제는 다날, ISP/페이북 등으로 이미 결제가 된 부분이기 덕에 현금으로 즉시 지급하고 있다”고 설명하였다.
